It’s not long before new head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Texas football program open up the Big 12 slate. Texas begins Big 12 play this fall at home at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Sep. 25, in the late morning kickoff time slot, against head coach Matt Wells and the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
Sark and the Longhorns come into Big 12 play with a record of 2-1, following a dominant 58-0 win at home last weekend over the Rice Owls out of the Conference-USA. Texas also has a win over the No. 23 ranked Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns at home and a bad loss to the Arkansas Razorbacks under their belt for the regular season thus far.
