Last season saw the Big 12 post one of the most impressive groups of running backs of any Power Five conference in the nation. Texas football wasn’t really one of those teams that had a premier set of talent in the backfield. But that could be different for this Texas team heading into the 2019 regular season.
While the Big 12 doesn’t have as much talent coming out of the backfield this coming season as it did in 2018, the rushers across the board are still among the nation’s best. Keeping all these electric high-powered offenses balanced needs to have a consistent line of standout running backs rolling through campuses all across the Big 12 schools.
