The Texas Longhorns made a surprise addition on Early Signing Day, as McNeese State Cowboys cornerback Darion Dunn flipped his commitment from the North Carolina State Wolfpack, he announced on Twitter.
The 6’1, 192-pounder is a Louisiana native who also ran track for McNeese State, finishing third in the 110-meter hurdles at the SLC Outdoor Championships, so Dunn has the speed that defensive coordinator Chris Ash likes in his cornerbacks.
As a redshirt sophomore in 2018, Dunn intercepted two passes to tie for the team lead before a truly breakout season last year — he tied for the conference lead with five interceptions and had 16 passes defensed, along with 42 tackles.
