As expected, the Texas Longhorns have once again fallen from the AP Top 25, this time following their 23-20 last-second loss to the then-No. 13 Iowa State Cyclones. The Longhorns entered ranked No. 20 in the AP Poll.
Similarly, the Longhorns fell from the Amway Coaches Poll, as well, after being ranked No. 21 last week.
Now 5-3 overall and in league play and effectively eliminated from the Big 12 Championship picture, Texas has two more contest remaining on its regular-season slate — a Dec. 5 road meeting with Kansas State and another road trip to close the regular season against Kansas.
