The Texas Longhorns men’s basketball team is No. 13 in the latest AP Poll rankings.
That’s seven spots lower than last week’s ranking, at No. 6. But it makes sense. Over the weekend, the Longhorns dropped what should have been a runaway win against the Oklahoma State Cowboys in double overtime. That was after the Longhorns were stomped by the No. 2 Baylor Bears, who maintained their spot atop the rankings, earlier in the week.
It’s been a tough stretch for Texas head coach Shaka Smart over the past several weeks.
