A key piece in the middle of the Texas Longhorns defense is expected to play after all on Saturday, as head coach Tom Herman told Longhorn Network that senior defensive tackle Chris Nelson will be available against the West Virginia Mountaineers.
Herman had ruled Nelson out on Thursday due to the sprained ankle the 6’1, 315-pounder suffered in practice on Tuesday.
Nelson has 23 tackles this season, with five tackles for loss and two quarterback hurries.
