The Texas Longhorns missed an opportunity to come away with a winning week against Top 25 opponents after blowing a three-run lead on Sunday after the TCU Horned Frogs. A split two-game series against Arkansas and a 2-1 series loss against TCU slightly moved the Horns down in the rankings, and dropped them to .500 through two series in Big 12 play.
Thankfully, the schedule finally eases up a bit for Texas with Incarnate Word and Xavier ahead. After the Longhorns travel to San Antonio to face Incarnate Word on Tuesday, Xavier will come to Austin for a three-game weekend series.
