Texas DE target Courtre Alexander commits to Arkansas

While the Texas Longhorns hosted a handful of recruits in Austin, weak-side defensive end target Courtre Alexander of Owasso (Okla.) was visiting the Arkansas Razorbacks. On Sunday, he elected to end his recruitment:

A rising prospect in recent weeks, Alexander took an official visit to Texas and then picked up his offer days later. In the immediate aftermath of the offer, he seemed like a strong bet to become a Longhorn. However, his offer by Arkansas the next day changed his recruitment.

With the Pigs trending over the course of a month, new head coach Chad Morris was able to close Alexander’s recruitment with a pledge in Fayetteville.
