The secondary for the Texas Longhorns took another blow on Tuesday when the school announced that sophomore defensive back BJ Foster is out indefinitely as he enters concussion protocol following a knee to his helmet during Monday’s practice.
A 6’2, 210-pounder, Foster is competing for the starting nickel position after playing safety and the hybrid Joker position last season, during which he made six starts and recorded 43 tackles, two forced fumbles, and an interception.
Other injuries in the secondary for Texas include senior safety Brandon Jones and sophomore safety Caden Sterns, who underwent knee surgery on Tuesday.
