The Texas Longhorns will have to replace one Texas Bowl starter along the offensive line, as the school confirmed on Monday that junior Jake McMillon has given up football.
McMillon started 16 games during his career for the Longhorns, mostly at guard, but graduated with a degree in corporate communications last spring and was honored during Senior Night ceremonies back in November.
An Abilene product, McMillon was a consensus three-star prospect as a defensive end in the 2014 recruiting class before shuffling between the offensive and defensive lines, recording three tackles in 12 games in 2015 on defense.
