Longhorn head coach Charlie Strong went on ESPN's Championship Drive to discuss Texas' recruiting finish and his time in Austin.
Strong said he knew Texas was in the running for a few elite prospects and thought a strong finish was possible before national signing day arrived.
"The way we went to work on it is that it was some key guys that down the last two weeks that we had to get signed," Strong said. "What I told them, and I kind of had an idea that it was either us or someone else but we were in the lead but not just with great numbers, where we had this gigantic lead, but we knew if I could get it to Wednesday.
