With head coach Steve Sarkisian holding exit meetings following the conclusion of spring practice in Saturday’s Orange-White game, Texas Longhorns cornerback Terrance Brooks announced his intent to enter the NCAA transfer portal on Tuesday.
Brooks has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
A consensus four-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class, Brooks was ranked as the No. 83 player nationally and the No. 10 cornerback, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. A top Texas target throughout the cycle following Sarkisian’s arrival in Austin, Brooks picked Ohio State in the summer of 2021 after a whirlwind recruitment by the Buckeyes — over the course of a little more than two weeks, Brooks received his offer from Ohio State, took an official visit to Columbus, and committed.
