Texas will be without one of its key playmakers for the remainder of the season.
The program announced Tuesday head coach Tom Herman suspended cornerback Holton Hill for breaking team rules. Hill will miss the Longhorns' final three games, but can still work out with the team.
A junior from Houston, Hill broke out during Texas' season-opening loss to Maryland, returning a blocked field goal and an interception for touchdowns. He has since become a key member of his team's secondary, guarding each opponent's best receiver.
Hill earned a bevy of praises from teammates and media throughout the season.
