The Texas basketball program is coming off a notoriously disappointing defeat in a second half blowout at the hands of the Georgetown Hoyas by the final score of 82-66. Former New York Knicks all-time great center and Georgetown head coach Patrick Ewing saw his team get behind Texas in the first half, but never looked back in the second.
Any hope that the Texas Longhorns basketball program had of sticking around in AP Top 25 rankings heading into next week were effectively dashed after what was pretty much a 20-point collapse in the second half against the Hoyas.
