There were quite a few names thrown into the hat among the candidates to land the UCLA Bruins head coaching job, including that of current head Texas basketball coach Shaka Smart. But, Smart wasn’t the only head coach from the Big 12 in the running for the job. He could still ultimately be in the running for it too.
However, it seems that TCU head coach Jamie Dixon is making some headway amid reported negotiations with UCLA to become the next one in Pasadena. Recent reports indicate that Dixon has also made more progress on that front than any other UCLA coaching candidate.
