Cason signed a two-year deal to join Coach Smart’s first coaching staff at Texas. But, it’s clear that Smart is looking to make changes after the team finished last in the Big 12 and 11-22 overall.
“David Cason will no longer be a part of our men’s basketball coaching staff. We are very appreciative of his efforts over the last two years here at Texas. We wish David and his family well in the future as he moves forward.
