There was good news and bad news for the 2020 Texas basketball recruiting class on Aug. 1. The beginning of the month of August needed to be good to the Texas basketball program on the recruiting trail since there was little to no success before now.
This 2020 recruiting class for the Texas Longhorns basketball program was without a single commitment entering the month of August. That still remains the case despite talented four-star Whitney Young and Chicago, IL, combo guard DJ Steward including them amid his eight finalist schools.
Yet, a prospect that is even more talented than Steward gave the Longhorns bad news later in the day on Aug.
