The 2016-17 season for Texas Basketball was difficult. They finished in the bottom of the barrel of the Big 12, finishing with a 6-12 conference record and going 11-22 overall. Along with this, Tevin Mack — who had been the team’s leading scorer for the first chunk of the year — was kicked off the team after being suspended indefinitely. Add in the point guard problems, and it wasn’t a great campaign.
For 2017-18, Texas is bringing in a handful of four-star recruits. If they all stick around for 2018-19, they’ll be joined by a significant transfer acquisition.
