The Big 12 is going to be a tough conference to compete in yet again for Texas basketball. This season has a group of Big 12 basketball programs that might form the deepest conference in the nation. Texas basketball is going to have to fight just to stay at or near the top half of the conference standings once Big 12 play starts this season.
Head Texas basketball coach Shaka Smart has a deep roster this season headlined by senior guard Kerwin Roach II and sophomore point guard Matt Coleman that has the makings of an improved team.
