The Texas basketball program is about to see the time when some of its more prominent players can take home some honors. On March 10, it was a freshman standout for the Texas basketball program that was able to get some big time honors to take back to the Forty Acres thanks to a huge season that wasn’t expected by many.
That first-year standout for Texas basketball that was able to come up big this season was the projected 2019 NBA Draft lottery selection and forward Jaxson Hayes. To round out the 2018-19 regular season, Hayes posted 19 points and seven rebounds in an eventual loss to the TCU Horned Frogs which compiled yet another disappointment for the team itself.
