One of the more unheralded freshman of the 2017-18 campaign for Texas basketball has a chance to be a sleeper to watch in the Big 12 in his sophomore year. That to-be sophomore is Longhorns’ shooting guard Jase Febres, a former four-star commit in the 2017 recruiting class.

Last season, Febres started in a little more than half off the games that the Horns had on the schedule. Of the 31 games played for Febres in 2017-18, he started 17 of them. He had to compete with other guards/small forwards like Kerwin Roach and Andrew Jones for playing time.
