The Texas basketball program wasn’t known for an outrageous degree of coaching success of late. Head Texas basketball coach Shaka Smart was the source of a ton of scrutiny this past season, despite making the end of season run to win the NIT Championship over the Lipscomb Bisons. Yet, Texas basketball is still set to lose an assistant for next season to the Northern Kentucky men’s basketball program with Darrin Horn.
Darrin Horn previously was a head coach for his alma mater, the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, and the South Carolina Gamecocks. He played his college ball at Western Kentucky from 1991-1995.
