The Texas Longhorns fell to Texas Tech 82-74 on Saturday afternoon in Lubbock, making the second straight defeat for Texas basketball since losing C Cameron Ridley to a foot injury.
The loss to Tech (11-1, 1-0) comes in spite of a career day for G Isaiah Taylor. Taylor lit up the scoreboard with a 35 point effort, but Texas couldn’t overcome a sluggish start.

The Longhorns (8-5, 0-1) were plagued by poor shooting, turnovers and foul trouble in the first half and went into the locker room donw 35-24. Then Taylor caught fire.
