Although the impending move from the Big 12 to the SEC has drawn a lot of the attention away from the Texas basketball program’s outlook ahead of the start of the 2021-22 season, there is still a lot of excitement brewing on the Forty Acres. That whole saga of the coaching staff turnover started back on March 26, with Smart leaving the Forty Acres to take the head coaching job with the Marquette Golden Eagles in his home state of Wisconsin.
