That is something that fans of the Texas basketball program will have to deal with for a while now, as this group will have to watch them compete in the NIT at the end of a huge letdown of a regular season.
The Big 12 was close to getting eight teams into the NCAA Tournament, but Texas basketball and the TCU Horned Frogs were just out of the field. Texas basketball and TCU will find themselves in the NIT this season when it looked as if both could be single digit seeds come Selection Sunday on March 17.
