Just for showing up to play Top 10 TCU on the road, the Longhorns’ RPI improved five spots.
Yes, the Horns jumped from #26 to #21 in the NCAA’s latest RPI rankings.
It helped that the Longhorns played reasonably well against the Horned Frogs on Friday and Sunday. Unfortunately, the Horns blew two late leads, costing them wins.
But, Texas now holds the #21 RPI ranking. Meanwhile, TCU jumped four spots to #5 and fellow Big 12 opponent Texas Tech improved to #3 in the RPI.
Another Big 12 rival, Oklahoma, jumped to #20 in the RPI after taking a weekend series against Kansas State on the road.
