As one of the most storied programs, if not the best overall, in college baseball history, Texas baseball carries the weight of large expectations each and every year. The complete field was decided for the College World Series on June 11, giving way to a few programs from the Big 12 heading down the path to Omaha, NE.
This will be the 36th appearance for the Longhorns in the College World Series which is good for most of any baseball program in the nation. It was achieved by knocking off the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles in the final game of the Austin Super Regional by the final score of 5-2.
