Although a good portion of the prospects selected out of the Texas baseball program weren’t ever members of the actual team, the 2019 MLB Draft was a busy time for these players. A prominent Texas baseball standout selected fairly early on in this year’s MLB Draft too was right handed pitcher Blair Henley.
In the seventh round of the 2019 MLB Draft, it was the Houston Astros that scooped up the stud righty Henley at No. 226 overall and signed him down soon after. According to the Austin-American Statesman on Twitter, Henley was signed down with the Astros on June 12 for a little over $188,000.
