The New Orleans Privateers defeated Texas Longhorns baseball on Sunday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field with a final score of 4-1.
Blair Henley struggled to follow suit today after a terrific performance from Chase Shugart yesterday. The Longhorns starter went just 5.1 innings, allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks, while managing just a single strikeout.
The Longhorns outfield looked out of character today as the team committed three errors, all of which were committed by Tate Shaw and Duke Ellis. That certainly did not do the pitching staff any favors.
Unlike what we have seen lately, the Texas offense couldn’t come up with the timely hits today as they stranded seven runners on base.
