Texas baseball fails to put any players on All-Big 12 first team

Sounds about right.

A disastrous 2016 season for Texas Longhorns baseball that ended with the program's second 30-loss season in school history and the worst winning percentage in a regular season other than 1956 resulted in expected snubs when the conference released the All-Big 12 awards on Tuesday and only one Texas player placed on either team -- starting pitcher Ty Culbreth.

The Longhorns were the only team in the Big 12 to fail to place a player on the first team.

Embattled head coach Augie Garrido, who has said twice in the past week that he won't resign with one year left on the contract, could hardly muster up any surprise or indignation about the list:

Asked about having only one player on All-Big 12, Augie Garrido said, "I don't think we got cheated.
