For the third year in a row and fourth postseason in a row, head coach David Pierce and Texas baseball are moving onto super regionals. The two-seed Texas topped the host and No. 9 Miami Hurricanes in the final of the Coral Gables Regional on the night of June 4, by the final score of 10-6.
Pierce and the Longhorns got a boost from the bats in the third inning, which saw nine runs come to the plate. That inning would ultimately be what secured the win for Texas to make it through the Coral Gables Regional with a perfect record of 3-0.
