AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas officially concluded its 2017-18 athletics season on Tuesday with Baseball's tie for seventh place at the College World Series. Texas was the only Division I school in the country to have ALL of its NCAA-sanctioned sport programs advance to NCAA postseason competition during the 2017-18 academic year.
Of the school's 20 intercollegiate programs, the Longhorns registered 10 NCAA Championship Top-10 team finishes during the recent academic year. Highlighted by a fourth-straight NCAA title by Men's Swimming and Diving and Rowing's program-best third-place showing at the NCAA Championship, the Longhorns recorded additional Top-10 NCAA performances in Men's Golf (tied for fifth), Volleyball (tied for fifth), Women's Swimming and Diving (sixth), Baseball (tied for seventh), Women's Basketball (tied for ninth), Soccer (tied for ninth), Women's Tennis (tied for ninth) and Men's Tennis (tied for ninth).
