Texas athletics reached major success throughout the 2018-19 season

On Saturday, the Texas Longhorns wrapped up their 2018-19 athletics season at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships with Top-10 team finishes on both the men’s and women’s sides. This pushed the school into double digits (11) for top-10 team finishes during the past academic year.

While the men’s basketball and baseball teams failed to make the postseason, the year was highlighted by the school’s first Men’s Tennis NCAA championship. By measure, the Longhorns had a successful year across the board.

  • Men’s Tennis (1st)
  • Men’s Swimming and Diving (2nd)
  • Men’s Golf (2nd)
  • Men’s Rowing (2nd)
  • Women’s Swimming and Diving (5th)
  • Volleyball (T-5th)
  • Women’s Golf (T-5th)
  • Football (9th)
  • Men’s Outdoor Track and Field (9th)
  • Softball (T-9th)

The four top-two finishes mark the most for the Longhorns since the 1993-94 season.
