Texas established kickoff times Wednesday for six of its 2017 football games in the inaugural season of coach Tom Herman.
Herman, who compiled a 22-4 record the past two seasons as coach at Houston, will make his debut with the Longhorns’ program in a nationally televised, Sept. 2 contest against Maryland (11 a.m., FS1). That contest will be played in Austin.
Texas’ highest-profile nonconference game of Herman’s initial season will be played Sept. 16 at Southern California (7:30 p.m., Fox). The Trojans won last year’s Rose Bowl while the Longhorns seek to rebound from a 5-7 mark under former coach Charlie Strong.
