On Thursday, the Texas Longhorns announced another largely underwhelming non-conference schedule for the 2024-25 season as head coach Rodney Terry’s program gears up for its first season in the SEC.
After a year that didn’t feature a single marquee matchup before Big 12 play started, Texas at least has a home-and-home schedule with two-time reigning national champion UCONN with the first game set for Dec. 8 at the Moody Center, but the rest of the home schedule in particular is uninspiring, featuring games against Houston Christian, Chicago State, Mississippi Valley State, Delaware State, New Mexico State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, and New Orleans.
