Texas A&M stars enter the NCAA transfer portal after Jim Schlossnagle’s departure for Texas

In the wake of Texas A&M Aggies head coach Jim Schlossnagle exiting College Station quickly for a new job with the Texas Longhorns under his close friend, athletics director Chris Del Conte, seven Aggies, including several stars, entered the NCAA transfer portal on Wednesday.

The Agxodus included star left fielder Jace LaViolette, the potential No. 1 pick in the 2025 MLB Draft, SEC Freshman of the Year third baseman Graham Grahovac, second baseman Kaeden Kent, designated hitter Hayden Schott, and outfielder Caden Sorrell.

During Schlossnagle’s introductory press conference on Wednesday, he was adamant that conversations with potential future players would not happen if NIL is at the center of the conservation.
