Former New Mexico State LB Devin Richardson announced on Twitter his decision to transfer to Texas.
Richardson, who was a 3-star prospect out of Klein HS, was named to the Football Writers Association of America Freshman All-American team after recording 69 tackles, 3 TFL’s, 2 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles.
The Aggies didn’t play last season due to COVID-19 leaving Richardson with three years of eligibility remaining and should make an immediate impact at Texas.
At 6-foot-3 and 233 pounds, Richardson played outside linebacker but is versatile enough to where he could play at inside linebacker if asked.
