Texas has filled a big recruiting need.
The Longhorns landed a verbal commitment from three-star Fullerton College linebacker Caleb Johnson on Monday night.
He announced his decision via Twitter.
Johnson, a former Iowa State pledge, committed to Texas over offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Colorado, Ole Miss, Oregon, Utah and others.
A JUCO product, Johnson will have three years of eligibility remaining. He will enroll at Texas in January.
At 6-foot-1, 215 pounds, Johnson is ranked as the No. 3 junior college outside linebacker in the country, per 247Sports Composite.
Texas now has 21 commits in its 2019 class, which is ranked first in the Big 12.
