Former Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater said he's notices similarities between Texas head coach Charlie Strong's Longhorns and the program he built at Louisville, in a recent USA Today article.
Bridgewater told USA Today's Laken Litman that the Longhorns remind him of Strong's early struggles at Louisville.
"You know it takes time," Bridgewater said. "He's laid a foundation and now he's gotta build on that ... It took him two years (at Louisville). Our first two years I think we finished 7-6 and then over the next two years we only lost three football games."
Louisville had back-to-back 7-6 seasons in 2010 and 2011 during Strong's tenure with the Cardinals.
