IRVING, Texas — University of Texas junior point guard Isaiah Taylor was named the Phillips 66 Big 12 Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday. The voting was conducted by a panel of media covering Big 12 men's basketball.
In UT's two wins this past week, Taylor averaged 23.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 36.0 minutes per contest. He converted 16-of-26 (.617) field goals, including 3-of-6 (.500) three-pointers, and 11-of-13 (.846) free throws while posting 10 assists against just 2 turnovers.
This marked Taylor's first career Big 12 Player of the Week selection.
