WACO, Texas – No. 3 Texas Football defensive tackle T'Vondre Sweat, wide receiver/punt returner Xavier Worthy and offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. were selected as All-Americans by the American Football Coaches Association, the organization announced on Thursday. Sweat earned first-team honors, making him the 24th Longhorn in program history to earn unanimous All-American honors based on the five outlets recognized by the NCAA. Worthy was voted to the second team as an all-purpose player, his fourth All-America accolade this season, while Banks earned his first career All-America honor as a second-team selection.
