Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian recently sat down for an interview with the Lawyers and Longhorns podcast. At one point, Sarkisian elaborated on how recruiting motto, as well as what qualities he looks for in players he and others recruit to the program.
“Naturally, we’re trying to build the most talented roster that we can build, that’s my responsibility at the University of Texas,” Sarkisian said, according to Sports Illustrated. “There’s a caveat to that: we never sacrifice character for talent.”
“You could have the most talented roster in the world, but if they played as individuals, teams with culture will beat them,” Sarkisian added.
