Head coach David Pierce and the Texas Longhorns baseball program landed a commitment from star Houston Episcopal shortstop/right-handed pitcher Tanner Witt on Friday:
The 6’5, 195-pounder is a potential two-way player for Texas — assuming that he makes it to campus, as he’s good enough to earn significant consideration from major league organizations following his senior season.
Witt has a fastball that currently tops out at 90 miles per hour, along with a curveball and a changeup. At the plate, he has significant potential.
