Spieth claims worlds’ No. 1 spot after runner-up finish at PGA

Longhorn Jordan Spieth set a record low in all four Majors at 54-under par.

AUSTIN, Texas – Texas great Jordan Spieth finished second at the PGA Championship on Sunday to claim the No. 1 spot in the world and to set a new record for low scoring at all four PGA Major events.

Spieth finished first at the Masters, first at the U.S. Open, tied for fourth at The Open and second at the PGA Championship. He shot 54-under par in those majors to beat Tiger Woods in 2000 for the lowest ever score.
