AUSTIN, Texas – For the first time in 14 years, Texas softball (20-3) finds itself on top of a national softball poll as the Longhorns climbed to No. 1 in Tuesday's release of the Softball America Top 25.
Texas also received five first-place votes in rising a spot to No. 2 in the latest ESPN.com/USA Softball poll (highest ranking in that poll since a No. 1 listing on March 27, 2006), while remaining at No. 3 in the USA Today/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) rankings (received two first-place votes).
