AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas softball team (24-3) finished the abbreviated 2020 season by being named No. 1 in the final Softball America poll, the organization announced on Tuesday.
This marked the first time in program history that the Longhorns held down the No. 1 spot in a final rankings release and the initial instance of being in the top spot of any poll for three weeks during a single campaign (March 3, March 10, Final - March 24).
In Softball America's final Top 25, Texas led the way followed by UCLA, Washington, Arizona and Oklahoma.
