The freshmen forwards each scored their first career goals on Sunday in knocking off unbeaten UCSB

One of the biggest challenges a collegiate freshman faces in any sport is quickly building up enough confidence that it translates into early success from both an individual and team standpoint.

Facing an undefeated UCSB squad on Sunday afternoon at Mike A. Myers Stadium, Texas soccer rookie forwards Cyera Hintzen and Tecora Turner certainly took a major step forward confidence-wise, scoring their first career goals to help power the Burnt Orange & White to an important, 2-1 non-conference victory.
