AUSTIN, Texas – Six Texas Volleyball players have earned 2017 All-America honors, the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced on Wednesday.
Senior Chiaka Ogbogu leads the Longhorns with first team honors, making her the second player in Texas history to earn three First Team honors and the fourth to earn four honors.
Ogbogu finished the 2017 season with 253 kills (2.58/set) on a team-leading .399 hitting efficiency. She had 174 total blocks, the most in a single season since 1999, and her 1.64 blocks/set are the second-most in a season in history.
She broke Texas' all-time career blocks record set in 1992 and Texas' all-time career block assists record set in 2015.
