AUSTIN, Texas— No. 12/11 Texas Women's Basketball opened the 2015-2016 season with a 90-53 victory over the UTSA Roadrunners this Saturday inside the Frank Erwin Center.
Sophomore Brooke McCarty led all scorers with a career-high 22 points, including a 4-for-6 effort from downtown. Senior Imani Boyette recorded her 28th career double-double for the night with 11 points and 10 rebounds, splitting it evenly between offensive and defensive boards. A total of six Longhorns (McCarty, Boyette, Empress Davenport, Celina Rodrigo, Lashann Higgs, and Kelsey Lang) scored in double digits for the Longhorns.
