The official anti-Texas Longhorns gesture, “Horns Down,” has made a habit of becoming controversial in recent years. It was even enforced as a penalty in some cases during Texas’ twilight in the Big 12, which the program officially left this week for the Southeastern Conference. In case you’ve missed it, historic rival Oklahoma joined Texas in its new league.
But will “Horns Down” be a penalty in the SEC?
It’s a question conference commissioner Greg Sankey has yet to address.
“I won’t be answering questions about football penalties on July 1st,” Sankey told On3 this week.
